My process for this project has been very iterative, building on everything I learned to create my perfect book.&nbsp; My ResearchI had a conversation with Emma Clare, of End of Life Doula UK, I wanted to have this covnersation with her to understand more deeply what grief means to us, and how we can do a better job of understanding it. For the posters, I wanted to provide my own interpretation of a Swiss designed poster. I tried to focus on creating a few simple elements, the trumpet and the dancers, and refining these ideas into something that not only benefits the client but is also a striking poster.&nbsp; The trumpet was illustrated by myself, and I used a photo of Roy Hargrove as my study. As a collective their posters are always quite simple, focusing on bright colours and simple eye-catching designs. This book is dedicated to my dog who passed away earlier this year, (2023), and is about what happens after we die, is there unlimited peace and final resting, or. is there just another stage of beuracracy we have to slog through before we can get to our final resting place. This is what Heavens Attorney looks at. My hope is to make death easier to understand and deal with and I hope my graphic novel does this. &nbsp; The page shown here is just a snippet into the look of Heavens Attorney, hopefully I will be able to show more soon. Throughout the process and sketching stage I wanted my main character, Mori, to balance out both the depressing nature of death whilst also being able to convey humour. I originally started with a more human character but I later changed it to a skeleton as a I felt that the skeleton was some how easier to tell a story with. The dog is based off my own dog who passed away, so most of the reference imagery is of family photos with said dog. These were created for the music management and production company called ‘GOTOBEAT’. They asked for a funk and soul inspired poster. It was important to the clients to have a baby be a part of the poster, so I created this illustration for them.&nbsp; The ‘logo’ of the event is built up of a repeating pattern of dance steps, to encourage the people who are attending to boogie. In each poster I&nbsp; blend the analogue and the digital seamlessley incoporating various imagery from public domain websites to create something new. You can also see a person enjoying my own work shown in one of the exhibitions. Throughout the brief we were told to think of roles and positions students right now might be interested in. After scouring through the hundreds of roles the NHS offers our group decided on Art Therapy as the position to focus on. We found that Art Therapy is a job which can be applied to nearly anyone, it benefits the elderly, the young and people who are nonverbal. We thought that this job could combine the recent surge of people seeking a creative career with the utility of Art Therapy to society.&nbsp; The images shown above are of my own design and were thought with the NHS colour palette in mind. This little mascot would be a character who could lead people through the class we designed to teach people about Art Therapy. The mascot's name is ‘Nye’ after Aneurin Bevan. The Slides are informative and teach people what it means to be an art therapist. These would be shown in classes which teach people holistically what it means to be an art therapist. The slide about Joe Lycett is because the brief required a celebrity endorsement for the potential campaign. We chose Joe Lycett for his continued support of both the arts and the NHS.
