These posters were part of a self initiated brief titled ‘Embracing Emptiness’ where I made posters which sell you nothing and indtead focus on embracing the idea of ‘uselessness’ and the use in uselessness. I was inspired by the philosophies of xhuangxi and taoism when making these posters. I wanted to also include humour and lighten up the overall ideas and themes of the posters themselves, I did this through the use of my own words. The posters themselves are the result of loads of experimentation, playing with chalk, photoshop, ink and many different ideas all culminating in these posters which shout danger and yet feel familiar.
